Welcome to my event called life, where creativity knows no bounds, resilience overcomes challenges, and celebration is a way of life. I am a wife and mother of three amazing boys, including a set of energetic twins. I am the proud owner of J’aime Events, a wedding and event design company that brings dreams to life. Beyond my roles as a family woman and a business owner, I hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, a master’s in project management, and a certification from the New York Institute of Arts in wedding and event planning. I started this lifestyle blog as a way to document and share my version of an event called life, thanks for joining me on the journey!
A Journey of Love and Family
Life’s most precious moments are often centered around family, and I’ve been fortunate to experience this to the fullest. As a wife and mother, I’ve embraced the joys, challenges, and love that come with these roles. My three boys are not just my children; they are my reason for why I do what I do. Raising them, especially the twins, has taught me invaluable lessons about patience, time management, and the sheer beauty of chaos.
Every day is an adventure in our household which is why I titled my blog an event called life. We are not just here to live our life but to celebrate it along the way through all of life’s events. Whether it’s navigating through homework assignments, sharing laughter during family movie nights, or enjoying the unique bond that comes from having twins, my family is the cornerstone of my life. I cherish every moment we spend together.
A Dream Turned Reality: J’aime Events
My entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creativity led me to establish J’aime Events, a wedding and event design company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The name “J’aime” means “I love” in French, and it represents the love and passion I pour into every event I design.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I learned the importance of understanding customer needs, creating memorable experiences, and delivering on promises. My Masters in Project Management equipped me with the skills necessary to plan, organize, and execute events flawlessly. And my certification from the New York Institute of Arts in wedding and event planning has provided me with the knowledge and expertise to turn dreams into reality.
J’aime Events is not just a business; it’s a labor of love. I believe that every event is a unique opportunity to create moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. From weddings that symbolize the union of two souls to corporate events that mark milestones in the business world, I am committed to delivering excellence in every detail.
The Resilience of a Survivor
My life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2016, a battle that I never expected to fight. The journey through cancer was an arduous one, filled with fear, uncertainty, and countless medical appointments. But I refused to let cancer define me or steal the joy from my life.
Battling cancer taught me about the strength of the human spirit and the importance of a strong support system. My family, friends, and medical team became my pillars of strength. The experience changed me in profound ways, giving me a newfound appreciation for life, a deeper sense of empathy, and the resilience to overcome any obstacle.
A Passion for Creativity
When I’m not immersed in the world of event planning, I am indulging my creative side. I’ve always had a passion for art and artistic expression. Whether it’s painting, crafting, or simply rearranging furniture to create a more harmonious space, I find solace in the act of creation. I also love a good DIY project for the home and share several of my projects on my blog.
I’m also an avid consumer of all things creative. Watching movies and reality TV shows is not just entertainment for me; it’s a source of inspiration. I believe that storytelling in all its forms has the power to ignite our imagination and drive us to think differently.
Celebrating Life’s Little Moments
One of my favorite pastimes is decorating for the holidays. Each holiday season, our home becomes a canvas for my creative ideas. From Halloween with its spooky decorations to Christmas with its warm and inviting ambiance, I take delight in transforming our living space into a reflection of the season’s spirit.
Holiday decorating is more than just a hobby; it’s a way for me to celebrate life and create lasting memories for my family. Every ornament, every string of lights, and every wreath has a story and a purpose, and each year brings new traditions and ideas.
Finding Inspiration in Everyday Life
In the age of the internet, I’ve discovered a treasure trove of inspiration on Pinterest. I spend a considerable amount of time exploring this platform, searching for new recipes to try, DIY projects to undertake, and innovative event design ideas. Pinterest has become my digital playground, where I can gather ideas and inspiration from people all over the world.
As a business owner, Pinterest also plays a significant role in my work. It allows me to stay up to date with the latest trends in event planning and design. From color palettes to floral arrangements, Pinterest is an invaluable tool for keeping my creativity fresh and relevant.
Thank you for joining me on this journey of love, creativity, resilience, and celebration. Together, we’ll continue to create beautiful memories and experiences that last a lifetime.
