I am always looking for new products or items that will make my life a little easier and sometimes I am influenced by someone else. Looking back on my Amazon purchases from 2021, these are the ones I would say were my top items and why I love them. These are not in order of my favorites but I will start with the kitchen/home items and then move my way into different categories so it makes sense as you are reading through the blog post.
I knew that I wanted something that would help keep my pantry more organized and when I saw these clear containers I knew I wanted them so that I could see what was inside but contain the contents to the bin to remove and restock easily. There are a variety of sizes so you can use them for different purposes. I signed up to have them on the Subscribe and Save so that I could spread out the cost of updating my pantry to purchasing a bin every couple of months instead of all of them at once. Now that I have a good amount of them in my pantry it is so nice to have items categorized and it helps the kiddos find their snack items as well and I can see what is low for adding to the grocery list. This is an item that I was influenced to buy, I saw someone using them for baking cookies and I had to see if they helped with keeping my cookies from sticking to the pan without having to grease up the pan. I’m happy to report that they work great for cookies and fit my baking sheets perfectly. Also saves time on the clean up as well. Link to shop
Speaking of my baking sheets, I was on the hunt to find new cookie baking sheets for our Christmas cooking baking but I also saw that this brand had a larger baking sheet as well that would be perfect for grilling vegetables or doing sheet pan meals. I ordered both the half sheet size and the big baking sheet. I did use one to cook bacon on and it stained the pan so I would definitely suggest using tin foil for any items that could stain the pan but they are a good size and good quality baking sheet. I wanted to replace my old Pyrex containers, the lids were basically eaten up around the edges from the dishwasher and I didn’t want to use plastic containers for leftovers. I found these that were clear so you can see what is inside of them plus they have a good seal to them with the tabs on all 4 sides. I also love that they are stackable in the refrigerator. We have a shelf in our refrigerator that we designate to leftovers and it is so easy to take a look and see what we can eat later in the week. You could also use these containers to meal prep if you like to make a larger batch of something and then eat it throughout the week. I also use it to store my cut up vegetables and fruits so that it is easy to plate them for the kiddos meals. Link to shop
Ok this one might seem like a silly utensil item to have in your kitchen but let me tell you this item has been used so much at my house. Whenever we are cooking ground turkey for tacos or spaghetti I reach for this chopper to get the pieces into smaller chunks. It works so much better than the old spatula trick I used before. Plus with the cross design it can chop more meat at a time. If you are someone who cooks a lot of ground beef or turkey, I highly recommend you check this out. Link to shop
I wanted to start drinking more protein smoothies after my workouts and I had a smaller blender but it only came with one cup and I couldn’t find a place to buy just another cup to use with the blender I already had and I didn’t want to have to wash the one cup I had every day. So I was on the search for a new smoothie blender, I saw that this one also had a to go cup that came with it. I have been using it for several months and it is great for blending up my smoothies, it can handle frozen fruit. I can attest that the blades are sharp, I cut my finger on it when I was trying to clean it. So note, blades are sharp, be careful. Link to shop
Wall Mount Holder for Google Mini Device
We purchased the Google Mini Smart Speakers to have around the house to play music or ask questions or set reminders. We love having one in the kitchen for setting timers while we are cooking. The problem with wanting them around the house was that you either had to have a shelf or table near an outlet to set the device on or it was sitting on the floor. With the kids running around I didn’t like the option of it just sitting on the floor. I saw these and thought I will give it a try, I’ll admit I was skeptical. But they worked for keeping the devices off of the ground and hanging on the wall so I didn’t need to allocate table or shelf space for them. We also put on in my son’s room so that he could play music and with it hanging on the wall he doesn’t mess around with it, it’s just like having a speaker in his room. If you are looking for a way to have the device in a room but don’t want to have it displayed on a table, give this a try. Link to shop
If you have kids and you blow up balloons for their birthdays, then you need this electric balloon inflator. I originally purchased this to be able to blow up balloon garlands for my event planning business but I find myself using it for anytime I need to blow up a balloon. It is so fast and easy to use. I purchased this bag for my business to use for my wedding day emergency kit but it is a perfect little weekender bag as well. So much room, has pockets and I love the section at the bottom that zips so you can put your shoes in there separate from the rest of your clothing items. I also use packing cubes when I am traveling to keep all my items put together. But if you want a cute, large carry on bag take a look at this one. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns. Trigger Point Tension Massager
I had read an article about using tension pressure massage to break up acids and fat but also to help with sore muscles so that they could heal faster. I didn’t know if this would really work but since I had the pulmonary embolisms I am acutely aware of getting clots in my legs. I also find that after I stand and walk around all day for a wedding day, the next day my legs are so sore. I started rolling out my legs after a wedding day, yes it hurts while you are rolling the muscles but the next morning I would find that I was in less pain. I also try to roll the muscles after a hard workout or if my muscles feel really tight. I have a foam roller as well that if I have more time I will use to really roll out the muscles but this one is easy to use with the handles to just push/pull it over the tight muscle area. This is probably one of my best finds! I got this to be able to trim the twins’ nails when they were babies because I was so worried about nicking their fingers with a regular nail clipper. They did not mind me using this trimmer at all on them. It comes with multiple different attachments for the different level of grit you want for sanding but also a buffer attachment. I started using it on my older son and he will sit and let me give him a full manicure. I use it for trimming my own nails and I use it for shaping my reusable nails as well. This is a top gift idea for any expecting mother and will be a gift I give probably at any future baby showers. Link to shop
